Message I was playing with different placements to get it all to work with the stock AC and PS. I knew I had to move the PS reservoir and bend a line for 2" piping, but stopped thinking about the piping there, figuring that 2.5" would be the same issue.

Turns out I could fit the 2" piping fairly easily on the exhaust side of the engine bay, but no go at all with the 2.5". Remember when I asked you about possibly making a 2-2.5 elbow and pipe right off the turbo for me? Well, that was in hopes of solving that issue. I can clock the turbo one of two ways to get the internal wastegate bracket to work out easily.

Option 1: the 2.5" would require notching/beating the frame a bit deal to get to fit at all, and the stock PS would need to be removed, but there is only a slight bend in the compressor outlet needed. I could make it transition from the 2" outlet to the 2.5" as slowly as could be. The entire piping run would be almost two feet longer than the other way. AC stuff would be fine.

Option 2: the 2.5" will fit, but has a 90° right directly off the turbo, which I would rather avoid. The elbow would be the most obvious choice to make the size transition, which is what I wanted to avoid as well. It still wouldn't fit with the PS reservoir and lines in any location I could move them to with the stock lines/parts. Frame rail would not be touched. AC stuff would be fine (just slight tweaking of some lines).

So basically if I kept the external wastegate like I had previously, most of this wouldn't be an issue. Or if I was fine with running 2" piping, this wouldn't be an issue. Or if I manned up from the start and didn't feel the need to keep the PS, this wouldn't have been an issue. Mostly, if I didn't feel like being a dick and guinea pigging a new manifold design, I wouldn't be in this position either.

That said, I have the layout all worked out now. I just need to weld all the sections of pipes to avoid having a dozen couplers.
